The Port of Mesaieed is Qatar's southern gateway and handles the export of crude oil, petrochemicals, fertilizers, steel and aluminium produced by industries in MIC. It has 30 multi-product berths and is capable of handling both general and bulk cargo on its commercial berths. In addition, it handles the import of all primary building materials for the country and houses Qatar's largest container terminal.
The Port of Ras Laffan is the largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in the world. It facilitates the export of all hydrocarbons produced by industries in RLIC, as well as the import of general cargo. The port has six LNG berths, six liquid product berths, one sulphur berth and six dry cargo berths. There are fourteen support vessel berths and two single point moorings offshore.

The International Seafarers Center in Ras Laffan Port will provide visiting seafarers an area in which to relax. A variety of faciilities will be available such as food and beverage areas, a money transferring facility, an entertainment area, a library, an exercise room as well as an outdoor sports area. Overnight hotel facilities will also be available in the future.
